And it's lame as usual, for the most part.
The highlight for me so far was hearing Chase Utley say "Fuck you" to the Yankee Stadium crowd that mixed in a few boo's when he was introduced. I'm sure Chase will be thrilled to find out the mic's picked up his foul language on national TV.
The Derby probably represents the one instance where we all really, really miss steroids. The current first round high score is six.
Six? About five years ago you could get the back-up catcher for the worst team in the league to hit six in the first round without breaking a sweat. I'm starting the movement right here, right now, BRING BACK THE STEROIDS!
Meahwhile, ESPN's Jayson Stark takes another shot at baseball's favorite superstar that just can't get it right. Of course, we're talking about A-Rod.
A little odd and pathetic that MLB couldn't get a single Yankee to participate in the HR Derby. According to Stark however, the powers-that-be attempted to do just that and twice asked A-Rod to play. Twice they were told 'no thanks'.
It's incredible that a guy so consumed with image can so consistently get it wrong. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that he's a total and complete douchebag.

That was cool although ESPN wont let a story die...will they?
I think they should have Erin Andrews in a sun dress eating a sub sandwich in between hitters.... Did you guys see that the last time a Cleveland Indians pitcher started the All Star game it was Charles Nagy in 1999. Yes you guessed it, this is the last time the NL won the All Star game. Put your money on the NL.
